Recently we have started using ninite.com (pro version, $20/mo) to install multiple software applications quickly and save technician time.  We have recently integrated it into LT to push a script…Continue

Is anyone running Labtech on thin clients?  I'm looking at re-provisioning some older PC's as thin clients and am looking at options so that we can still manage the thin client via LT.  I was…Continue

"Josh, Sorry for the late reply.  There is also logic in LT to allow you to keep the same agent name if the same computer comes back.  We use this logic along with imaging so that we can keep a machine history.  For example, reimaging…"

Labtech + WUS

Is anyone currently using a WUS server to cache udpates but pushing them with the LT Hotfix tools?  I have a couple of sites who are bandwidth limited, and I would like to cache updates with WUS.  My logic is this:Set WUS to auto-approve updates.Manage updates in LT.Conserve bandwidth by installing patches from the local WUS source. This way, all machines still utilize and report from within the LT console.  Ideally, LT will still handle all patch approvals, etc. so that the hotfix approvals…See More

Windows 7 and Active X controls

This is sort of off the Labtech topic, but I'm hoping that another MSP has addressed this issue and could shed some light. I'm interested in how other MSP's are handling Active X Controls in Windows 7.  Windows XP just denied them to users with non-admin permissions.  Windows 7 seems to prompt for install no matter what changes I make to Active X GPO.  This causes a password prompt popup, and the user creates a ticket that then needs to be addressed, even if the website has a non-Active X…See More
